An associate professor at the University of Bergen in the Department of Linguistic, Literary and Aesthetic Studies, Dr Jill Walker Rettberg conducts research on telling stories online.  Her book  Blogging (Polity Press, 2008) surveys the practice/form and its historical, theoretical and contemporary context, drawing on extensive scholarly research and her own experience as an academic who blogs at  jill/txt. She also co-edited Digital Culture, Play, and Identity: A World of Warcraft Reader (Cambridge, 2008) and has published academic journal articles on blogging and digital storytelling.
