Andy Clark

Professor of Philosophy and Chair in Logic and Metaphysics at the University of Edinburgh, Andy Clark writes extensively on the philosophy of mind, connenctionism, robotics and the nature of mental representation. He is considered a leader in the field of mind extension and is a founding member of the Contact collaborative research project, a group that investigated the role played by the environment in shaping consciousness. He has also written extensively on connectionism, robotics, and the role and nature of mental representation.

His books include Microcognition: Philosophy, Cognitive Science and Parallel Distributed Processing Associative Engines, Being There: Putting Brain, Body and World Together Again, and Natural Born Cyborgs.
